Big Day!

We had a very big day today. We started the day by attending a local church. After church, we picked Mimi & Pop Pop up from the airport. They were in Austin, TX & flew back in to Birmingham. We went out for lunch & then headed to The Bass Pro Shop to see the Easter Bunny!

Every year, The Bass Pro Shop hosts Santa Claus. You can sit with Santa & have your picture taken. They give you a 4x6 picture for FREE! It is a great deal. We have taken the kids every year, since David was born to see Santa. This year they are hosting the Easter Bunny! I was a little worried how the kids would do since this last year, both kids freaked out when they were seated in Santa's lap. To my surprise, both kids did not get upset. I couldn't get a smile out of either of them but there were no tears! David even talked to the Easter Bunny a little. Success! :)

After seeing the Easter Bunny, we hung out at The Bass Pro Shop for a while. David wanted to see the shooting range.

David found a wooden rifle & Daddy found a raccoon hat. Our own little Davy Crocket!

The Bass Pro Shop hosted a Easter egg hunt. They had eggs hiden all over the store. They let the kids find 5 eggs. We then turned the eggs in at the front of the store & the kids were able to get some candy. Of course David inhaled his candy before we were out of the parking lot!

We took the kids to the YMCA this evening, after nap time, to swim again. The kids are really loving getting in the pool & swimming around. I was actually able to finally get a picture of Grace in one of her swim suits. I have taken my camera with us to the pool every time we have gone swimming but have never taken any pictures. There has to be one adult per child in the pool so I'm unable to leave Justin with both kids in the water so I can take some pictures. Maybe later this summer I can get some pictures of them swimming in the pool.

After swimming, Justin played basketball with the kids. It was so much fun watching David & Grace try to throw the basketballs!

For dinner, Justin grilled hamburgers. Publix had corn on the cob 3 for $1 this week. I know that's not the best price for corn on the cob, but David & I saw it & decided, we had to have it! This was the first time Grace had corn on the cob. She ate all the corn off her cob! :)
